Business mentoring for new celebrants

This week saw me skip off to Birmingham to the annual gathering of the ‘Small Business Sunday’ winners.

You might remember that back in 2013, Theo Paphitis the former Dragon’s Den entrepreneur chose Sincere Moments as one of his top 6 favourite businesses on twitter.  It’s something he does every week and the national network of winners is going from strength to strength.

Every year we get to be back in his company.  So earlier this week I toddled off to Birmingham where we had a day full of networking, workshops, presentations and 1-2-1 business advice.

But it was our key speakers that made the event.  We had a Knight of the Realm, Sir Tom Hunter and Head of Marketing at Google, Raja Saggi.  Both gave insightful and thought provoking views that really get you to think about how you run your business and the level you want to take it to.

But there was time for some frivolity too!  Here’s the group of Staffordshire winners who grabbed a quick opportunity for a photo shoot:

If you’d like to know more about the initiative and how you can be part of this elite club then do get in touch. I can tell you all about it and how to enter.   Equally, just have a quick look at www.theopaphitissbs.com.

Since Theo started this programme in 2010, just over 370,000 businesses have entered and tried to win this award.  Under 1% of us have made it through!   There are 2,500 winners now and believe it or not but I’m the only Celebrant in the whole network – that’s some coup to have under my belt!

Did I ever think I’d be in this kind of company when I started Sincere Moments back in 2011?

Not one iota!

Just goes to show that you never know what’s around the corner or who you might bump into!
